office time, oh boy

djfishtick: ROLLING THUNDER POOT

I didn't draw anything today due to my excessive amount of sleep, so I thought I'd upload a drawing that my little cousin did for me the last time I went to visit. He's pretty much the coolest little dude.

if you are keeping score, that's a bunch of people.

never gonne be the same again (1960 - 2009)

My favourite aunt passed away today. She had been diagnosed with ALS (more info here, if interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amyotrophic_lateral_sclerosis ) about 3 years ago, I believe, and we'd been watching her slowly turn into a different person. They live in Aurora and unfortunately because of that, I rarely get to see them. Despite that, they're literally my favourite people in the world. There's always been so much happiness with them that make up some pretty amazing memories. My aunt was an amazing person. She was always so interested in what I was up to and even offered to pay for my college education because my parents refused to help me. My aunt leaves behind my uncle and their 4 children (16, 14, 12 and 8), so please keep your throughts - or prayers, it doesn't matter - with them. This is for Heather Lukezic, one of the greatest people I've ever met.

Sad, Sad Song

I've received some pretty terrible news, so I didn't get around to drawing anything. Instead, I'll post an older drawing. It's of Snow White and Bigby from Fables, which is my favourite comic. They're my favourite characters and I thought the picture was pretty inspiring.

I still can't get over that his name is James Brown.. like the singer!

As previously mentioned, I was really bored watching that episode of Buffy yesterday, (Bad Eggs). Anyway, this is what happened.

killing time, listening to live music

Bad Eggs.. more like, bad episode

While watching an episode of Buffy with some friends, I was bored enough to remember a drawing request. So here you go, Patrick.

In keeping with the spirit of my fellow artists . . .

this drawing is kinda cute

this one time i asked a lady what time it was at the bank... 6 months later, i am the godfather of her quintuplets

I can't sleep, most likely due to nerves because of my upcoming appointment.

Anyway, Tim asked me to draw his band, The Muttering Retreats www.myspace.com/themutteringretreats, and I did what I could with a silly idea of my own.

I don't know why, but I decided to use minimal colour in this, and I think it really suits it. I asked for Scott's opinion first, of course. Oh, from left to right: Tim as Super Lloyd, Chris as a funky bear and Cari as a saxin' penguin.

Two in a row, it must be your lucky night.

Melissa suggested I draw this lady I work with. She is a jerk so I drew her as a thing I hate, a spider. Since I usually just close my eyes and run away when I see a spider, I did the best I could.

Ok, so I'm not an artist but...

now you have to look at my attempts at art anyway :)

Melissa (the angry bee herself) told me to draw my favorite animal and that happens to be a penguin. Once I started drawing, he became a pirate. I have no idea why. If he looks sad to you, it is because his boat is floating away and he's lost but no one knows!

A drawing of a drawing drawing a drawing

I drew this in pen and used a gloss varnish

Was there a dog in here just now?

Donnie, as per your request: A lumberjack riding a dinosaur... well, he's kind of falling off. I didn't initially intend to do that, it just kinda happened. Hope that's okay :)

hey, i live in philadelphia

i think i'm going to put this guy up on my etsy site later

Everything must go

After hearing that I drew what I thought of 'someguy', Cari asked me to draw what I think of her.

I decided to draw her as a powerpuff girl, because I think that's a pretty fair representation. In a good way, of course. They're super cute, super sweet... and they fight crime - I'm assuming that Cari does, too.

Batman - Stage 1

I completed a second drawing for today because I received a rather interesting request. 'Someguy' asked me to draw what I thought of him, so here it is.

I purchased a scanner tonight, so I've redone the previous posts.

Just another saturday night

I drew this while drankin on Saturday night

Bad Horse Chorus

I finished today's drawing pretty early. It was a request from Patrick; a dog chasing a robot.

That specific robot was inspired by a short essay in Michael Ian Blacks "My Custom Van". I previously drew him, in my day planner, while at work.

What a crazy random happenstance!

I'm not much of a writer, so here's the deal: in my new goal of making one drawing a day - I've gotten a friend to join me - it was suggested that a blog be made and said drawings be posted.

The first drawing is a cover of a new-ish released Criterion dvd titled White Dog, (more info here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084899/ ), that I've been completely obsessed with since purchasing the dvd.
